COLOUR: Vivid crimson with brilliant hue.

NOSE: Youthful aromatics of fresh plums, red & blackberry fruits, mulberry and spices of clove, cinnamon, fragrant wild mint with subtle cedar oak influence.

PALATE: Tight and muscular frame with a wave of fresh dark plums, mulberry and ripe blackberry fruit moving to a more structural finish with beautifully integrated oak and fine natural tannins leading to a long mouth-watering finish.

VINEYARD REGION: Coonawarra, Margaret River

VINTAGE CONDITIONS: Good winter and spring rainfalls preceded almost perfect growing conditions for Vintage 2017. Healthy canopies and crops combined with an extended mild summer with minimal heat spikes to produce very high-quality fruit. Harvest began around 2 weeks later than in recent years with fruit showing the benefit of an elongated ripening period in both Coonawarra and Margaret River, showing excellent colour and flavour with bright natural acidity.
